About Abraham lincoln:-
Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865) was the 16th president of the United States and is regarded as one of America’s greatest heroes. He is best known for issuing the Emancipation Proclamation (1863), which declared slaves free, and for preserving the Union during the Civil War. Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth at Ford’s Theatre in Washington.

Why I selected this book:-
To discover the legacy of Sir Abraham Lincoln, my favourite and the greatest American president.
About the book:-
The book is consist of edits by Stern "life of Abraham Lincoln" full biography in detailed chronology from parents and his childhood (1806 A.D) to politics showing his ups and downs (1865 A.D) and collection of all the official, public letters and telegram which have been written by Lincoln.
The first biography was written in 1942 around 80 years later of his assassination. It was a more writer personal view.
The personality of Lincoln made me interested to keep on reading the whole book.
The book reflected his life with the development of American history.
Lincoln's election to Illinois House of Representatives.
The battle of Gettysburg during the civil war.
(He tries to avoid all war)
The beginning of the Republican Party and Lincoln being a second presidential candidate.
The issue of slavery and labour. He had unfavourable conditions in childhood.
The journey and process of assassination and his funeral was grievous. The love of his people showed the greatness and respectable quality of Lincoln.
The letters and telegram are amusing. It's good to see Lincoln's words are preserved in original forms.

There are more similar sections in the book.
I am not that great to review an incredible leader life. As he had said, "No man is good enough to govern another man without the others consent".
But I would review how his life is represented to others.
To whom is this book intended:
▫Those who had an interest in learning history or detailed study of Lincoln.
▫Those who had misconceptions about Lincoln.
What makes this book useful:
It gets us to know more about the legislation and efforts of the USA.
A point of view of great personality towards the life.
Hope to see such wonderful leaders in every country too.
